In reaching Montalcino, apart from enjoying the drive through some spectacular roads of Tuscany, you will also discover why the Brunello di Montalcino is always present in any award winning list of wines. In Tuscany, a visit to the Castle of Meleto or the Castle of Brolio are classics for lovers of Chianti. Antica Quercia Verde is the perfect base for lovers of sightseeing and landscape photography with beautiful scenery surrounding us the amazing scenic snapshots of the pristine landscapes in the hills of Cortona are not easily matched. Travellers that love photography will find the Festival Cortona on the Move - photography in travel, particularly interesting. This festival is usually held from mid July until the end of September.
GOLF IN TUSCANY
Antica Quercia Verde agriturismo is just few minutes away from the new Manzano Golf Resort, whose opening we are impatiently awaiting, meanwhile there are many more golf courses in Tuscany within an hour drive. This activity is recommended in Autumn and Spring as you can also enjoy the central hours of the day outside, making the most of a full day out on the green.
TREKKING AND MOUNTAIN BIKING TOURS
Antica Quercia Verde agriturismo is situated on the CAI Tuscany (Club Alpino Italiano) track n° 563. This track can be continued to the track CAI n° 50 that eventually becomes the track GEA n°50 (Grande Escursione Appenninica). Our farm stay is the perfect base for lovers of trekking and mountain biking; you will have the opportunity to enjoy many days of beautiful adventures and discoveries immersed in a pristine, natural landscape.

From Antica Quercia Verde you can easily reach the Valdichiana Outlet Village in 20 minutes by car, housing over 140 famous designer and brand shops that offer 30 – 70% discounts all year round and during sale periods further discounts and offers are made. Although Italy and Cortona in particular are not fly fishing destinations, we thought that perhaps during one of your days travelling Tuscany and Umbria you might want to try these waters. Two of the best locations that Italy has to offer to lovers of the art of Fly Fishing are reachable from Antica Quercia Verde agriturismo in a fly fishing day trip. These locations are the amazing river Nera in Umbria, not too far from the city of Norcia and the TWT (Tail Water Tevere) in Tuscany between Sansepolcro and Anghiari.
